New Employment Website is Dedicated to the Austin Area
Austin, Texas - December 9, 2004 - WorkAustin.com (www.workaustin.com) is a new recruitment website that has partnered with Time Warner Cable to provide the Austin area with a local job network. The site is focused on bringing together employers and job seekers in Austin and its surrounding communities.
The site, which launched in early November 2004, offers low-cost job postings for employers and free registration and services for job seekers. WorkAustin.com lists full-time, part-time, and contract job opportunities in all fields, including finance, IT, engineering, sales, legal, customer service, healthcare and administrative.
"Time Warner Cable is proud to further our commitment to the greater Austin community through our connection with WorkAustin.com," said Pam Power at Time Warner Cable. "The site is a great resource for Austin because it focuses solely on local companies and local job seekers."
Close to 100 local employers have already registered on the site during its first month, including Austin Motors, Robert Half Finance and Accounting, City of Austin, The Greening Law Firm, Whole Foods Market, Kelly Services, American Achievement Corporation, 7-Eleven, Gila Corporation and Excel Construction Services. And hundreds of job seekers have signed up to search jobs, post a resume and receive free job alerts by email.
"I am quite impressed with WorkAustin.com," said Ronald G. Greening of The Greening Law Firm, P.C. "It will be a great alternative to the Statesman. I will be placing an ad for the Administrative Assistant and the new Attorney we need to add to our team," Greening said.
"Every business we speak with says they really want an inexpensive, but effective and well-managed local employment website," said Paul Swiencicki, Vice President for WorkAustin.com. "Our services give Austin area businesses a great opportunity to find talented local people, and local people now have a site to help them find a local job."
Employers can obtain more information at http://www.workaustin.com/employer/home, or by contacting Paul Swiencicki directly at (512) 351-7846 or paul@workaustin.com. Job seekers can register for free email job alerts, search jobs, and post their resumes at http://www.workaustin.com.
